Many technology faculty development efforts operate on the idea that “If we build it, they will come.” While this may be true for the innovators and the technophiles, it is usually an ineffective approach for the large majority of instructors. This workshop will highlight strategies used to increase the capacity of one faculty for teaching online resulting in the successful launch and implementation of two online degree programs - one graduate and one undergraduate. Participants will have the opportunity to share what is working on their own campuses as well as to receive ideas and support for making improvements to their faculty development efforts.
