These all work with anything that has a USB port and acts as a USB host, that is any modern PC with a USB port regarldless of OS.  They'll work with Mac, Win, Linux, and more.  They just act as a standard USB hard drive, and will play mp3s copied to them without needing any special software to run on the PC.  For the ones that play video, the sames applies EXCEPT the Iaudio X5 which will only play videos in a certain format and at certain rates.  It's a standard format but you might want to use their software to get the rates and resolution within the allowed range.

f.mgr = a file manager, so you can move, rename, or delete files right on the device without an attached computer.
vrec = voice recorder, with bulit in microphone
in = line in
txt = means text file viewer

archos xs402 is about the same as the 202 except does color video too

any other models by these brands are most likely non-propriatary as well, so they'll
also work with any PC or system.

Archos also has a nice 3GB model available in various colors

---- notes:

the gmini's are VERY small! smaller than post-it notes, though of course thicker.
look here

pros:
rd2850 comes with car power adaptor, cassette adaptor, and a very protective
case that still allows full operation
rd2850 charges via USB

cons:
x5 - quirky AC adaptor
xs400 - two handed operation
rca rd2780 may be too large for easy 1 handed operation
rd2850 is no longer produced, so any 'new' models may not have been used,
but may have age on the lithium battery, which ages from the date
of manufacture regardless of use, unless the warehouse is refrigerated
which is unlikely ;)
gmini xs 200 (as opposed to xs 202), same concern with lithium battery as rd2850
